The 3 megapixel camera is such an improvement over the old camera and I love the touch auto focus, white balance, etc., it’s also much better in low light situation. I took a short video with the phone and it was very nice; the editing function is also a very nice and easy thing to do.

The phone does have some issues;

1) The compass always seems to have an issue with interference; what that interference is I have no idea, but it causes the compass not to work as it should.

2) Voice commands is a very nice feature; but more often than not it gets what I say wrong. I think I’ve called people today that I haven’t talked to in ages and one person who I had no idea who they were.

Still going through everything on the phone, but for now I would say this iteration of the iphone is a winner. I’ sure what comes out next year will blow this one away, perhaps a totally redesigned handset?

The new v3 software had a hard time getting started on my phone. Sounds were way behind actions. Normal easy stuff took a lot longer to happen. My one touch dial now has added an extra step. I’ll have to rename it “two-touch” dial. My maps has a small circular icon in the LL corner that is “current location,” sort of. Am I missing something…don’t answer that…something on the phone? Love the Voice Memos; lot’s better than what I had before (I do a lot of talking to myself). Love to have a video camera, but my 3G will have to do for now.
Got laid off from that company I told you about. Looking again.
